Help with hd sat. slimline signal

i got a hd slimline dtv dish and dvr box and can not get it sited in and need to know does it matter which one you screw the cable onto the satellite

And, in order to take advantage of dual tuners, you need two lines connected. However, if you can't get the dish sited in, it doesn't matter what cables are connected.
