I have little doubt the new Directv in house meter will soon be best and probably required.
Most techs can tune the Directv dishes with a beer can and a string...........it is "seeing" all the other birds that makes the meter valuable. You do not want to put all your eggs in the Directv basket.

I am still not seeing enough money offered to cover the care and feeding of an expensive & fragile
    meter.

    Diversify!

that too. not many of them used that I know of.

mostly around here were superbuddy or Birddogs.

however Directv has a new meter and they claimed they made it.. its called AIM. I wouldnt buy one til all the glitches are done and gone.
