HR24 and Internet Connection
ADVERTS 1
i have whole house dvr - i'm looking at my connections and i have an ethernet going from the deca to my hub and another ethernet going from hub to the HR24 receiver. this seems redundant - do i need both hooked up in this manner? thanks - i was looking for an open port on the hub and noticed this.

should only need the deca connected but you may have to reset the connection on the HR24 so it sees the deca and not a direct connection.

Yes, having it connected both ways can cause issues, however, if the box sees Decca, I believe it should automatically shut off the ehternet jack.
