Back then, the ships were actual models (built by John Dykstra I believe). They had to invent all the CGI that we all now take for granted.

    Found this for John Dykstra.

And,back then they had actors, with some talent! The new episodes are not even worth watching,in my opinion! I tried to get my local cable company to put on Scifi for several years, mainly for BSG. Now that I have a dish,I see what I wasn't missing.

He must be. Eddie Olmos, Mary McDonnell, and Katie Sackoff have more acting talent in their little fingers than the entire cast of the old show put together.

Still love the old show, though.

I've rarely seen a show with better acting than BSG, and I've watched a lot (thousands?) of tv shows and movies.

Back OT: any news on SciFi and USA HD being made available?

I agree. Very few shows (The Sopranos, for example) come to mind with better acting than the new BSG.
