So does Dishnetwork. That is why I had to move to Direct for most of my programming. Keeping one channel along with all of the other "fees" on one of my dish receivers in case they ever decide to consider AK and HI as part of the nation.

It's national only with the multi sports pack. Otherwise only big ten states get it as another rsn.

It is national outside the Big 10 footprint the same way any other premium is — if you pay for it. In large part, I agree about that the normal RSNs shouldn't count individually, but you can get some good college sports on them.

Ok, let's state it in your terms. +22 HD channels that are 75+% SD, then -15 channels HD 24/7. By my math it comes out a sizeable loss to the viewing community. Just because people didn't watch Voom doesn't mean it wasn't a loss overall.

Seems the M3.08 is stable, but no EHD, Archos support.

    This is such a joke........
The word "National" would indicate anyone in the Nation would be able to view these channels....
    I get 1 RSN.....
Why not just add up all the HD Locals and tell me Dish has 287 or whatever it is National HD channels.....
The 81 refers to what the system is carrying, not what you pay for. I get all the RSNs plus Big 10 HD because I pay for it. They count the HD PPV too because you can get it if you're willing to pay for it. I can't tell you if the 81 is accurate because I don't want to go through and count all the channels I get. But I can say I want Voom back, and I was not a previous Voom customer.

The Eastern Arc rollout will start in September. For folks on the East Coast this will offer much better look angles.
Okay now, the Eastern Arc stuff will be 100% MPEG4 ? What will a new customer (after Sept) who doesn't get an HD set-top get ? A ViP SD receiver ? Do they have one already ?

Existing customers already pointed at 110/119/129 will remain mixed with MPEG2 and MPEG4. Western Arc sure won't be an equal to the Eastern Arc though. It will have to remain MPEG2 and 4 for some time.

I'm kinda curious if there will be SD overlap for HD channels that are a HD mirror. For instance, do we really need TLC SD on Eastern Arc since TLC HD is the same damned thing?
