ADVERTS 1
I think its all about the bad publicity. I have done my complaining so right now I am trying to wait and see what happens. Maybe we will get lucky and this will all work out and we will think Dish finally made the right decisions.

Yes clearly if you disagree with what a poster says you should remain silent.
as for the "lines" involved wel here are two lines you can't cross. One is that neither party can do something that is forbidden by the contract. Another line would be doing something that is actually illegal (like chopping off the other parties' fingers) but in this case neither line has been crossed. Consumer contracts are one sided but this is not even an extreme case of that. reada credit card agreement sometime.
What this boils down is that some of you are mad and think that you are entitled to sue because of it. Unfortunately there is nothing here that is really actionable here. Just because you don't like that does not alter it. but again if ysome ofou are so convinced that you have a case go ahead and file it. Similarly if you truly feel that it will get news coverage or influence DISH or VOOM then proceed. Just don't tell the rest of us that we have no right to point out that we feel it is frivolous lawsuit.

How many Dishnetwork Voom customers were there? And of that Number How many gave 2 S#*^s about Voom? I agree with Geronimo, Publicity is something this complaint is NOT going to generate. The same 10 people in the E* forums isn't going to do squat. Nor is the Bogus Petition, That everyone signed twice or even 3 times,Including Charle. Yea Thats a crediable and professional Petition. Just like this bogus lawsuit.

I hate to say something that might be construed as support for the original poster, but I think I've ranted enough that there shouldn't be any confusion.
In the HD Ultimate package, 15 channels of Voom was replaced by THREE channels. The $10 premium payed for that tier once bought 19 channels, it now buys 7. That's a 63% reduction (And that's if you give WFN credit for being an HD channel, which it is not at this time.)
If your two year agreement required you to purchase a minimum package that contained 100 channels, and then the package was reduced to 37
, then I think there would definitely be some legal merit to the argument that they were not holding up their end of the bargain.
But again, absolutely nobody is being forced to stay at this tier, and in fact DISH hasn't even been charging the downgrade fee to people who press the issue.

Has anyone contacted E*? Your not going to tell me they aren't giving Credits for the complaints, $5 or $10 off per month? If you accepted a credit for losing VOOM, then its time to move on. If your complaining up a storm and never contacted E* by PHONE to state your complaint, then those of you should sit there quietly.
