    Thanks for the clarification.
I thought I'd read several places that the DTVpal was softer than other like-CECB's.
But, the more feedback one gets, the clearer the picture becomes. (pun intended)

Initial screen-shots Scott provided in his review thread, must have been down-rez'd for posting to the forum, because I really thought they looked like crap!

I am using the 'PAL on an analog flat screen crt television.
I do have a Polaroid 15" LCD HD.
I'll hook it up to the 'PAL this evening and evaluate the PQ.

I am glad you are cool with your image and info on the AVS Forum.
Yea, I should have also asked first but did give you credit.

I have also made changes to the CECB list on wikipedia
First time I have edited - I hope it was done they way it was suppose to.

I am also betting that you have the 101 software kb2kir

I wonder if there are any internal part differences between the 100 and 101 or just unknown firmware differences.

Thank you for sharing the method to open, the images, and the part numbers.

No problem, glad I could supply needed information.
    Yes, software is 101.
I hooked up the lcd tv last night and am satisfied with the picture.
Not to ruffle any feathers, I noticed in another thread, some are having problems with the clock, event timers and TVGOS.
I use the converter mainly for it's intended purpose, and I feel that it performs that duty satisfactorily. (remember, first and foremost, these are low cost D to A converters)
Seems to me some of the features in the PAL are "fluff" or "value added",
so it's not likely a lot of resources were expended fine tuning them. On the other hand, It would be great if they worked reliably.
Just my opinion. Off to work.........
