If it is like every other Dish upgrade

    ADVERTS
If it is like the rest of the things DIsh has done it will be a flop.

722 have advanced MPEG-4/VC-1 decoder BCM7412, but old 622 with 7411 cannot handle well HD VC-1 decompression. That's why you see HD VOD on 722 only.

Those compressed by MPEG-2 or H264 methods - 7411 handle that; if you pointing to 1080p24, then it still in H.264 format, but play process will take all resource of the DVR for produce one output.
