So what is the 211 going to act like with a hard drive? Does it somehow have a USB2 interface that's different from every other USB2 interface?

The ViP211 with the EHDD will essentially become a Dvr and will go from a 2 day guide to a 9 day guide.

The guide will look like it does now. WIth one OTA channel being listed.

Just like the 622 does not list all satellite channels twice because its a dual tuner unit.

Actually those _engineers_ whom LER talked at Team Summit didn't reveal real problem related to EHD, not just USB 2.0 limitations - additional ENCRYPTION what eat a lot of recourses and do not allow do more tasks.

From what I am hearing from Beta Testers, YES it does.

WOW, super. I know you have told me that before, but I don't think last nites chat covered recording four channels at the same time very well. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks again, you are very helpful and have a super Forum.
