    Well it's 2009 - How about a poll of "E"'s credibility?

    ADVERTS 1
Not sure if I even remember how to create a poll but I'll try.

I'd be interested to know how many think Dish fell short of their expectations the last quarter of 2008 considering what they had been hinting and implying would happen regarding national HD.

IMHO, anyone who's been around D* and E* for any period of time are used to disappointment. Par for the course. I wonder how many people would really prefer a lot of National HD over their locals in HD, if that's even relatable in terms of capacity.

Regardless of falling short of many HD channels, I think a lot of great advances have been made as well. EHD support, Eastern Arc (N/A to me though), DASH. Not sure how much came out in 2007, though. My concept of time is fuzzy sometimes.

JUST THAT GOOD. Actually, it popped up before the poll showed up.

Dish added about as much HD as I expected. Now ask me about my expectations for Dish.

I am one that would prefer more national HD over my HD locals. I get all the locals in my DMA OTA as well as several others in an adjoining DMA and use my media center PCs for recording and not the HD DVR. That's not to say the additional national HD that's out there to be added is any good. I'm looking forward to FX and that's about it.

I did not fall for the sucker bet of 150. There just are not that many possible channels for them to put up. I voted slightly short. I figured there would be 7-10 more channels in December. Dish is notoriously slow making deals with the channels.

I voted "about as much national HD as I expected". I'm not too excited about what is left out there to add right now either. The only one that I really want is ESPNUHD, but in all honesty I wouldn't really care if we didn't get that until right before next football season (but will be really pissed if we don't get it by then).
    Receivers - 922, 722k with sling adapter, 211k,

    Tailgate Setup - 1000.2, 722k, 922, Honda Generator EU2000i, 2 Vizio 32" LCDs
