How about a new 1000.5 EA dish

I was searching around a little last night and came across this pdf that states:

Dish 500+ EA Repoint Kit (aka D1000.5)

I learned something. I was under the impression that the 1000.5 was a new dish.

I was under the same impression. That doc. even says the following:

The other new antenna, the DISH 1000.5, is about two inches larger than the new DISH 1000.4 and will be used for customers with signals that are not as strong as those who qualify for a DISH 1000.4.

Does the 500+ with a 1000.4 LNBF fit that description?

Yeah, I just took down my 500+ and installed an EA, and the 500+ is just a little bit larger.

I thought about using the 500+ conversion, but I really liked the fine tuning extras on the EA dish.
