Can you view DVR events after account has been closed?
ADVERTS 1
I have a ViP 722 DVR with a drive full of HD events that I haven't had a chance to watch yet. I want to cancel my account with Dish, as I've already got plenty of programming from other sources, but I want to be able to have access to the recordings on the 722. Is it possible to watch (and pause, skip, etc) recordings on a DVR, even if your account has been deactivated? I can't seem to get a definitive answer from Dish. Thanks!

If your receiver is remained hooked up to receiver the satellite signal it should work, I'm not 100% sure it will if you want to give it a try. But if you lease the 722, Dish expects it back within a couple of weeks. Doesn't give you too much time to view them.

Short answer, yes. I no longer have an account (for about 2 months) with Dish Network, and I can still view my recordings in my owned 625. I don't even have the receiver hooked up to the satellite.
