Yep, my only offers are ClubDish, Dish'n'it up and DishMover. I don't even see the HBO/Starz deal I had there before.

I guess if Smithsonian was going to produce 200 hours of new programming in 2009, which is less than 4 hours per week, I am fine with it going sayonara.

As are our $89/mo subscribers. (I've got DVR Advantage + AT250 + HDGold + 3 DVR receivers.)
Edit: Well, I spoke too soon. I can now access the offers via the front page (but not the Offers item when viewing my account). They are offering a free upgrade to a 722 (for my 625?), 3 months free of HBO and Starz, and 3 months free PlatinumHD. I don't see any mention of new commitments.Last edited by TheKrell; 02-02-2009 at 12:11 PM.

Yes, but they would collect more as well. Well, theoretically.
We know they are making a huge profit on each Platinum sub, because they were paying about $4.00 per subscriber for Voom. Voom was replaced with two basic channels, which couldn't have cost anywhere near $4.00.
Let's say those 7 channels cost them $2.50 a month. They charge $10 for a $7.50 profit, but only, say, 50,000 people subscribe. Total profit- $375,000
Now let's say there's a million HD subscribers. They add all 7 channels to all HD packages, and raise the price $3. That's only a 50 cent profit, but times one million...that's $500,000.
Of course, those were totally hypothetical numbers.

Yea, the only things I see are $10 off per month with a two-year commitment and 3 months free HBO and Starz (no commitment mentioned).
I don't care if the free HBO/Starz thingie doesn't mention signing a new contract (I'm out of contract now), I'm not taking the bait and having to fight with them later to remove any commitment they might feel like adding.
