DishComm Setup No Longer Works
ADVERTS 1
I'm not exactly sure when it stopped working, but the DishComm setup I had working between my Vip 622 and Vip 722 DVR's is no longer transmitting caller ID information. That is a huge bummer. I remember when I first set it up, the automatic scan didn't work and I had to add the other receiver's home plug address manually to the list in order to get it to work. When I try to do that now, I can't see any way to do it. Did that feature get removed? Is there any hope for me to be able to fix the DishComm configuration if the scan function doesn't work?
Thanks for any insights.

I see references to the problem. Has anyone come up with a solution? Do I just need to disconnect the power cable on both receivers and do a hard reset?

There is no fix until Dish admits it's a problem and does a software upgrade to fix it. Mine hasn't worked now for about 5 months.
