In August I signed up for one of the Turbo HD package's, I'm concerned because I do not get the new Fox HD channels.

A: Fox is not in the Turbo Bronze Packages, we are getting requests... go for the Top 100 package (SD & HD)

A: In Negotiation, contracts up in the summer.

Is it possible to upgrade one of my receivers to DVR and how much?

A: Go on to Dish website and put in Account number and see what is available and what your need will be. (not sure if he is an HD customer or not and hard to generalize for each customer)

A: No, not unless you upgrade equipment.

A: Smithsonian Contractually did not make sense for us to carry, neither side was interested, probably not coming back soon.

A: Strictly a price issue plus other demands.

Can an apartment owner in San Jose, California tell a tenant he cannot have a Dish?

A: Depends on the installation, the owner has rights, but you could put it on a balcony or inside by a window. (Jim) If it is in your exclusive use area it should be ok.

I am converting to HD and have gotten a set with 1080p resolution, why don't your receivers handle 1080p?

A: Our receivers do handle 1080p, Not available from our program providers...nothing but our ppv movies is broadcast in 1080p

FX Has very good PQ whether showing SD or HD.
Comedy Central has HD content, I caught some Scary Movies a couple of weekends ago in HD.
CMT has had 1 or 2 in HD I believe, I've never seen.
VH1 sparse if any...

Ok now for possibles...
Spike has a lot of HD, CSI and CSI:NY look and sound good...Movies the same then you have the Martial Arts and Original programming, Mananswers for one...then the ST: Voyager and they have had ST: DS9 look pretty good as upconverts.

I am on hold, and plan on asking a question about Turbo HD and the Fox channels. This is my first chat. Is it this easy to get through? It rang on my first attempt. Or will they just not take my question?
