    hd -dvr receivers

    rank the hd dvr receivers, i dont know much about them, i have a 622, and have some dishnit up options, but not sure if i want to change yet, or if its worth it

    No difference between the 622 and the 722 except for HDD storage. The 722k has two OTA tuners instead of one; otherwise it is virtually identical to the 722.

    722 has slightly better picture than 622, and 722k is said to have a slightly better picture than 722. Also, 722k allows you to file recorded programs into folders and also directly to EHD.

    The 722 also supports VC1 decoding and is currently used to offer more HD VOD because of this.

    The 222 is a dual tuner HD receiver with no recording capabilities at all. Are these the free options -- no cost to you, just an extended commitment?

    It's not the same reciever. It has a little different look and has more hard drive space allowing for more recordings. Has a few slight different feature but overall it runs the same way so you will be familiar with it.
