I'm not going to do it until someone can tell me how adding "HD + Platinum" will affect the bundling of HD and Gold Bonus Pack with premiums.

With HD and Gold Bonus Pack as premiums, it reduces my HBO and Showtime to $10 each.

    Would hate to lose that.

If you changed your service to the new Classic Gold with HD & Platinum, and you kept your two premium channels, I'm pretty certain your total bill would go up by $2. The website shows that they still offer discounts for bundling premiums (ie: two premiums for $22, three for $31, etc.). So if the Platinum channels are not worth $2 to you, then leave things the way they are. (Or, just wait a few more days, and see if the Platinum channels show up automatically and then confirm whether or not your billing will change.)

I have dealt with this particular CEO for along time and he has been very upfront with me in the past,I dont know why he would lie to me now.So Customers check your account in a few days, right now it may not show any changes as Dishes Computers are being upgraded all weekend and may take a few days to catch up.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like the phone reps can't even tell that they are switching customers from Turbo to Classic when they add free Platinum to an account. (I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to the CSR that switched me.)

The website has been working better today, and I was able to log in. My account now shows that I have Classic Bronze 100-Plus, with HD & Platinum. New pricing and credits are not available to view yet.

It will do away with your bundling if you have top 250 bonus pack + hd pack and you go to HD + Platinum. I know I did just that. I had classic silver dvr advantage pack + 3 premiums till yesterday. The three premiums were Gold HD /HBO/top 250 bonus pack all for 31.00. So this is way it was :

57.99 Classic silver dvr advantge pack
    31.00 three premiums ( hd/hbo/top 250 bonus pk)
    07.00 additional receiver fee
    ---------------------------------------
    95.99
    (03.00) dvr credit
    (10.00) loyalty credit
    ------------------------------------
    $ 82.99 before tax

After I changed from GOLD HD to HD + platinum pack my bill is now broke down to this:

67.99 Classic Gold pack WITH dvr
    15.99 HBO
    10.00 HD + platinum pack
    07.00 additional receiver
    --------------------------------------
    100.98
    (03.00) dvr credit
    (10.00) loyalty discount
    ---------------------------------------
    $87.98 before tax.

So in the end I pay now $4.99 more than I did before I added the HD + plat pack. DISH will no longer consider HD or the top 250 bonus pack as a premium pack. ONLY the premium movie packs, Hbo/Showtime/Starz/Cinemax and Playboy and they will be bundled:

1 premium 15.99 hbo or 12.99 for Showtime,Starz or Cinemax.
    2 premiums 22.00
    3 premiums 31.00
    4 premiums 40.00
    5 premiums 50.00

I take it you have to have more than 1 dvr to get dvr advantage.

When I switched to the Platinum and HD package, HBO went from the $10 bundle price to it's solo price of $15.99. I decided to remove HBO, I knew that this would probably happen, just had to see for myself

Thanks for the explanations. I would end up paying $2 per month more if I switched out of the old system to the new one. Not sure if the Platinum channels are worth $24 per year extra to me. I know that sounds bad but having had the three month free promo for PlatinumHD and really never watching it, it is something to consider.

I don't blame you. That is almost 60% price increse for HBO. I'm so addicted to the HBO original programming though, I would probibly begrudgingly keep it.

NO you can have one dvr or two or three , but the WITH DVR plan ,that replaced the dvr advantage plan, only covers one of your dvrs . The rest still will be charged the 5.98 dvr fee per dvr receiver.
