722 to 722K with OTA mod worth it?

what is ota?
is it an off air antenna or something completly different?
i have the 722k and i seen where it has the ota in it but how do i hook it up?
and to what do i hook it up?

Yes, it's what you think. But you have to to have the optional Module to hook it up, which I suspect you don't have.

It will be completely possible now to record all the big 4 nets at the same time in many areas. It would be possible to record say ABC, NBC OTA then say CBS & FOX off sat.

yeah i don't have an antenna anymore nor do i have a second satellite dish.
except from the other company.
but thanks for the explanation guys i wish i wouldn't have taken my antenna down. dang it.

My 722k has been busy since the fall season started. I use my 722k for the big 4 networks and my dish dtv pal plus dvr (ota dual tuner ) for the Cw. So I have now 4 ota tuners and 2 sat. We don't miss any shows we want to watch AT ALL. At last no conflicts.

So far I've only run into recording 4 things at one time this coming Wed. I do think that that will change on Thursdays though (it just did I looked at my guide)
