I live on the Central Coast of california(Lompoc) and when I had cable Tv (Comcast) I was able to pick up additional locals out of Los Angeles(Stations we didnt have local equivelents to like KCOP,KCAL,KCET)Does anyone know of a way to try and get The Los Angeles Locals (while keeping the Locals I have now in my area)really all I want is the LA locals of networks we cant get here (anything outside of ABC<NBC<CBS and FOX)Really am trying to get the Retro TV Channel.
Has anyone been able to do.

Go to Point Satellite, Menu 6,1,1 and go to 119. Change your transponder to 3 and see if you get a signal. If it is strong there are ways to do what you want. You are very close to the outer edge of the spotbeam, it is iffy. Try this and report back on what kind of signal you are getting on 119, transponder 3.

OK, now try 129, transponder 4.

    This one doesn't look good.

If you are an HD viewer this is the make or break step.

Get a 6 ft and it will probably go up to usable level if you want it really badly.

He's mostly interested in Retro TV which is on KHIZ. He'd have to 'move' to LA to get the channel and I don't think he's gonna want to go quite that far.
