    722 setup question

    ADVERTS
Hello, I added a 722 over at my Dads house tonight, (and hooked him up to a 2nd orbital location) and overall everything went great. He is HD finally.

    However...

Remote #1 doesnt work... the infrared one, is there some trick / registration / programming, something? I have to do? The batteries are in, and the lights work on the remote when you attempt to use it.

To test the 722, I switched remote #2 to infrared and it works fine like that, so I know the 722 is speaking infrared just fine. So it seems remote #1 might have a problem? Unless there is some step I did not perform?

If your dad's TV is LCD, turn off any back-lighting controls. They interfere with the Dish IR remote.

I was able to fix this with your help. I had to remap the address of remote 1, and then switch remote 2 back to UHF and both work. THANKS !
