Sling for the Droid?
ADVERTS
Anyone know whether Dish is planning on releasing a Sling player for the Android platform and, if so, will it have the same limitations that the iPhone version has (only works on WiFi)?

If it did have that limitation, it would be easy to get around. And to answer the question, I don't think there is.

no android yet. Sling had posted looking for android programers months ago but nothing just yet.
So you can weight for sling or atndroid to suport the new flash to watch in your phone browser (Hero Mods on G1/Mytoch have limited flash 9 not sling suported)
Or what i do on my rooted G1 is tether to my laptop and watch on the lap top. (saved me big bucks when on vacation and hotell charging $15 a day for internet)

Yea, tethering will give you the ability. Just use PDANET to tether for free (after the initial $30 app price) instead of paying Verizon $30 extra to tether per month.
