Eastern Arc
ADVERTS
Got a call from Dish that they wanted to replace my dish set up pointing to 61.5 with the Eastern Arc dish. Unfortunately, I have a tree in the way that prevented receiving a signal from the 77 degree bird and so it didn't bring in the local channels. The installer instead used the new dish pointed to 110, 119, 129. He said that this would be just as good, but will this set up be good for the future. I'm in Jacksonville and we don't have local HD channels from Dish as yet. Will this be a problem when HD locals are available?

If they put those HD locals on 61.5, or 77, yes, it's gonna be a problem.

I hate to tell you this, but if you're talking about Jacksonville, FL the Jacksonville HD locals are already on 77w.

Since I have been getting local HD over the air, I haven't noticed. Guess that's what I gave up. Hope that's all I'm missing. Thanks
