Pricing Update from Dish Network

My whole problem with this is not the reality of it, it's dish's trying to pretend like they are not screwing their existing customers over with some fairly significant cost increases. Until they fess up, i've put them "On Notice" and they are pretty damn close to my "Dead to me" list. If IPTV matures too much in the next year, I'll dump dish fast.

For 2 election cycles I have volunteered for congressman jason altmire.

Tomorrow I am going to stop by his local office.

all contracts should be federally mandated to prevent large price gouges.

Since rip offs like E are still selling the old pricing to new subs even though the new prices have been officially released to dealers.

E should at least INFORM anyone signing a contract for new service, since it will be in their first bill.

It doesnt effect me BUT consumer need protection from greedy companies like E.

and those like verizon FIOS who enforce the contract for a service that doesnt work reliably This happened to me for my local phone

Well you can have it both ways -- just put some bogus phone prefix in (like a #) so that it cannot really make the call.

I never thought of that, that makes great sense, thanks! I can just switch to rotary dialing since I have VoIP and it only works as touch tone. I don't need my receiver calling into dish after Feb. 1st anyway.

Well heres a new insider leak.

Es purpose was to simplify prices to minimize people complaing.

Phone line compliance is about 5% so nearly all already pay the 5 buck fee.

E gets too many calls about charges, so this way there will only be.

Elminating the DVR advantage plan is a mistake.

apparently even if installers connect phone lines subs unplug later.

If the fee was really to stop stacking its a apparent failure.

I do knowe my best friend unplugged his receivers fearing it could spy or some such. I explained what it was for but his wife still didnt believe it

Yeah some potential subs told me the same thing.

Which is partially true E collects viewing habit info. Thats one reason for call inns
