    down grade fees or problems?

    ADVERTS 1
Does anyone know if there are penalties to delete HD or DVR service within a contract period? I am still thinking of going with DN Top 200, HD, and DVR. But I wanted to know what will happen if I decide to cancel the HD and DVR service after the first year when the "normal" price kicks in for the Top200. Would my equipment have to be changed?

You'll probably get charged a one-time $5 downgrade fee, that you may or may not be able to argue away. Other than that, as long as you subscribe to one of the main programming packages you won't be considered to be breaking your commitment. And I would think your hardware wouldn't be changed out, though I'll leave that to others to comment on.

If you drop the DVR service I think they would change out your receiver. I've
never heard of them allowing a DVR receiver on a non-DVR package. I don't
know if there would be a charge for changing out the receiver.
