722 as a solo DVR? Monthly fee...
ADVERTS 1
If I were to have a 722 because it is arguably a better DVR, but I am not interested in TV2 output, can TV2 be disabled by Dish and I only have to pay the monthly fee for a solo DVR? All I would want is the 2 tuners - no interest in the lower quality duo output on any receiver. Or is a 612 the only option?
I like having a stand alone DVR or receiver at each TV.

Thanks. $17/mo is a lot

Yeah, it is... How badly do you want to maintain your stand of: "I like having a stand alone DVR or receiver at each TV." You could always go with a VIP211 and it wouldn't cost you $17.....

You have two options: a 211 w/EHD @$7/mo (after $40 upgrade fee), or a 612 @$10/mo.

I traded my 622s with new 612s. My bill is still over $300 a month but I save $20 lol
