Question I lost MavTV, and a few other channels??? America's Top 200

    ADVERTS 1
Okay, I've been on Dish's website and this site for the last half hour trying to figure this thing out, but so far I'm still stumped.

So here's my programming, and nothing has changed in quite a while:

    America's Top 200 59.99
    HD/SD (2TV) DVR Receiver 17.00
    DVR Service 6.00
    HD 200 Free ($10/Mo) 0.00
    Starz - 12 Mo 0.00
    Brazilian: TV Globo 19.99
    ....................
    Total$102.98

But a few minutes ago I was going through my guide, and noticed that some of the channels on my guide are showing up in green, indicating that I am no longer subscribed to them. The list of channels I've noticed so far are:

    261 MAVTV
    368 CI
    371 CTRC
    373 LOGO
    378 INDIE
    379 RETRO
    385 MGM
    386 SMC
    389 SUND

Now these aren't channels I watch all the time, but I do watch some of them, sometimes. And I don't like losing channels without understanding why.

So has the Top 200 package changed? If they removed these channels, have they included some new ones?

If somebody could help me figure this out, I'd really appreciate it!

Aren't those the Blockbuster/Dish Platinum channels? Maybe you had the promo of other Absolute customers and kept it free for a year?

Ah, that seems to ring a bell. Yes, I was an Absolute customer that held out until the bitter end. I'll have to check the price, but I imagine it's probably not worth paying extra for.

The Platinum HD package (now BlockBuster @HOME) was given for free to this customer for DISH Networks 30's Birthday gift for a year.

When my Absolute HD ended last February, I was given Platinum free for a year. I also got Starz free for a year as my 30th Anniv gift. Boy, did things change today...no more Starz or Platinum, and my bill is fully double what it was under Absolute for less channels. Thankfully, last week I negotiated Dish giving me free Blockbuster for a year...

If you already had Starz then you were given Platinum as your gift. (there was one other one they gave as well but I can't remember what that was... I think maybe 6 PPV movies?)

Yes, for those of us with the 'Everything' and Platinum packages already being billed, we got 6 PPV movies, none of which I used.....

When does the free 30 anniversary platinum expire? I thought it would expire on feb 1st.
