Dish Network Sling Adapter down to $30

I just spoke with a CSR at Dish and verified that as of February 1, 2012, the price of the sling adapter was dropped from $99.00 to $30.00. This change in price is permanent and is available now. This is a great price if you have been waiting to purchase one, or if you didn't get in on the free with rebate in 2011

I just wish i could use it with *all* Sling player applications. I tested with a boxeebox but got nothing. Doesn't Dish owns Sling now? Why can't they make things compatible?

Dish did buy Sling so who knows why they are not compatible with other devices

You might try to see if that is still true. I had problems a month back and after all the on line trouble shooting nonsense I was told "this is a known issue that we are trying to resolve" (or words to that effect) As of a week ago my 722K/sling is OK after the latest software update.

I'm with you on that! To answer your question: because Dish doesn't want to (or feel like it).

I say that with good sarcastic humor to you, but I'm a bit peeved that Dish won't support what the Sling boxes support.

It should work on your second 722K. I had like (4) 722's on my account all with working sling adaptors.

However $30 for sling is a good deal for everyone!

When I ordered mine earlier this week it was like $32 shipped to my house, and I had it the next day. I had to pay at the time of order and did not see an option to charge to account. It is very small and was super easy to set up. Watching my DVR recordings on my iPad is well worth it for me.
