- 12-12-2005 05:30 PM #413The HD Demo is on 61.5 ONLY. It's not available on 148.

The SF-SJ locals that are on 148 are mirrored on 129, so I still get them, and I now get the VOOM channels which I couldn't get before because I can't see 61.5 from this location. It's too low (9 degrees) and behind a hill.
I'm looking forward to all the new HD channels that have been rumored... both the network and VOOM!!

- 12-12-2005 05:37 PM #414The CBS-HD West that's on 129 is not on 9484. It's unlabeled in the engineering tier and not able to be made available to subscribers.

Afternoon everyone,
Please excuse me if I am out of line. I am kind of new here. This is interesting reading, but seems to be off topic. Perhaps a new thread would be warranted.
Anyways, GUYTV seemed to be a little better while I was watching it earlier. However, RAVE and Monsters were still pixelating a lot.

I would feel more comfortable about the current Voom situation if Dish would give some indication of how long it will be before they expect to have the problem rectified. All the messages from them that I have seen posted here and that I have received, thank us for our patience, let us know that they know there is a problem and that they are working on it and how important we are to Dish.
Well, I think we are important, too -- important enough to be kept informed on the progress of their efforts to restore the Voom channels to a quality HD level. I mean, I can be patient if I try, but 30 days from now, if the current situation still exists, I will feel like I have been handed a line and that I fell for it. Needless to say I will have lost all patience and will be very irate -- and Dish may lose me (again) as a customer!
How long should we wait for Dish to fix the problem? I am getting more impatient each day when I check the Voom channels and get freezes, picture break-up, pixelation and sound outages. It's just not enough to know that they "are working on the problem". Progress report, please!!

Just got this update from Dish:
"Thank you for contacting DISH Network to express your concerns regarding an HD programming issue. As a DISH customer, your input is especially important to us as we continuously strive to provide the highest quality of broadcast services.
Since confirming the VOOM quality issue, our DISH Network engineering teams have been working non-stop with VOOM and the appropriate vendors to resolve the specific technical problems which are affecting the picture quality. Some of these issues have already been successfully addressed while others may take additional time to rectify. Please be assured that all available resources will be working toward restoring the HD quality as quickly as possible. Thank you for your feedback as we work through these issues.
We appreciate your patience in this matter and for taking the time to e-mail us with your quality concerns."Woodland Park, CO

No, because the Las Vegas stations don't grant waivers.

and keep the discussion here still on voom being 1280
I have moved posts about that from here into the other threadLast edited by BFG; 12-12-2005 at 10:24 PM.
