    Dish 622 ota locals

    ADVERTS 1
If I get a 622, and do NOT subscribe to locals but instead get my HD locals Off The Air, will I get channel listings for the off-the-air locals? If I do, will I also get listings for the sub-channels or just the main HD channel (IE... 5.1, 7.1, etc.)

If you need more info... I'm in the Los Angeles area.

    Thanks!

    Robert

When you say channel listings do you mean program information? If so, the answer is no. If you just mean are you able to recive the channels, the answer is yes. In either case, you can receive the subchannels, but you will not receive program guide information on the subchannels.

Also, you will not be able to see OTA channels on TV2.
I was surprised to find this out when I got mine.

If you subscribed to locals, OTA is not available on TV2. Same with the 942.

It's not a big deal. But, since you can't get OTA channels on TV2, I can't get a subchannel that I like. I don't understand why it is disabled.

As noted above, you actually can if you 'record' what you want to watch, you can watch on TV2.
