Just a little recap on the names of dishes and what they do for Dish Network.

    Dish 300
Single slot DBS Dish that can pick up programming from one DBS satellite location at a time. DBS locations for Dish are 61.5°, 110°, 119°, 129°, 148 and 157°(not used)

    Dish 500
A two slot DBS Dish designed to pick up 110° and 119° simultaneusly. However it can be used to pick up 119° and 129° or just one satellite location like 61.5° or 148°.

    Dish 500+
Same as a Dish 500 in function (Receives 119° and 110° simultaneously) with two major differences. First, it is about 5" larger. Second, it also picks up the 118.75° location. This location is known as 118, 118.7 or 119k as well.

    Dish 1000
A three slot DBS Dish designed to pick up 110°, 119° and 129° simultaneously.
This dish can be used to pick up 129° and 148° simultaneously.

    Dish 1000+
Same as the Dish 1000 in function but about 5" larger and can pick up the 118.75° location. This dish is specifically designed for picking up 110°, 119°, 119k and 129° simultaneously.

    Superdish
    105
Specifically designed to pick up 105°, 110° and 119°.
    121
Specifically designed to pick up 110°, 119° and 121°
Both Superdish flavors can be modified to pick up any combination of satellites from 105°-129° however none of these modifications is supported by Dish Network's Technical support team. This means if you modify the dish or use it in a way other than its designed purpose, you are on your own.

What programming is on what satellite location?
    See

for the moster list of channels on Dish and where they are.
    See

    Did I miss anything?

    See ya

THERE= a place. not here - THEIR= belongs to them - THEY'RE = short for "They Are". THEN = a point in time; not now. - THAN = used to compare things.
-If you tried 4 times to move forward, it was the FOURTH time you went FORTH! ---Something AFFECTS you. You have an EFFECT on something
Some one can win a MEDAL made of a METAL like gold for showing his METTLE (courage)
If something is LOOSE you might LOSE it. Your=belongs to "you" You're short for "you are"
You file a suit in court. You wear a suit in court. You stay in a suite at the hotel. You sweat it out. Victory is sweet!
If two sets of twin brothers have a gunfight, you have a Dual Duel
MUTE=Silent, unable to talk. MOOT= No loger relevant or important. "A mute points out a moot point."

Thanks that's very helpful. I read the stuff about the new dishs but when you started talking about switches I was afraid it ment I would have to climb on the roof to change the channel. Thanks again

    119K
    129

    110/119 has normal programming
    129 has Nat’l HD
119K will have St Louis HD LIL
Should I call E* now to get the 1000+? The tech could not get a lock on 129 with 1000 when I switched to HD Platinum. Am I in trouble?
