    You can't move a movie back to the DVR from PocketDish? I didn't know that. I sure hope that's not the case with external USB storage. That would put a crimp in it's utility!

    And yeah, external storage or backup would be nice for the 721, as I'm now on #6. But since the SDTV it's hooked up to may be preparing it's death dive, it's probably moot. Next TV in that spot will probably be a 42" direct view LCD HDTV, and a 721 won't cut it.

    The way I understood it, the external drive would be for archiving. In order to watch anything you would have to move it back to the 622.

    That has been known for quite some time. E* is trying to move to MPEG4 and trying to get subs to move there as well.

    No it has been demonstrated that you can watch directly from the hard drive.

    I saw a demo/screen shot from something showing time to archive and retrieve from usb drive. What did I see?
