Sirius on Dish? Who cares!
ADVERTS 1
I don't understand all this excitement about Sirius radio on Dish. Now I suppose to convert my expensive TV set to be a radio tuner? Sorry, but I thought TVs have another function.
Charlie, give us some good HDTV channels!

I personally like the Sirius channels...there's some good stuff on there.
I don't have a HDTV, so could care less about how much Dish, Voom, Direct, or any other provider adds.Winegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet
Two 6 foot Fortec dish with GeoSatPro dual C-Band LNB "ghetto moved" to various C-Band satellites

Ditto Mike and Iceburg ! I would like to have HD but the pocketbook dictates otherwise for now. I have the audio ran indipendent of my tv so if I wanted to I could cut the tv off.

I for one don't care about listening to music thru my dish.
I listened to sirius maybe twice since they started offering it.

To each his own some people like good background music $5 for an extra receiver connected to and audio amplifier and Sirius 40+ channels is a good deal for those that like it. For those that don't their bill didn't increase, no one is forcing them to listen, and little bandwidth was lost for this benefit.

better than the CD channels... something to do some housecleaning to.

The excitement wore off for me a few days after launch. I listened to it for a total of a couple of hours that first week, and zero hours since then. To coin the popular phrase, "Big whoop!"
FYI:
-It's "couldn't care less", not "could care less".
-It's "would've", "should've", and "could've", not "would of", "should of", and "could of".
-It's "voila!", not "walla!" (That's right. You've been speaking French all this time.)
-The first word in each sentence should be capitalized.
-A period goes at the end of each sentence.
-Commas are also a good idea, on occasion.

I enjoy recording some of the music channels to minidisc and listening while exercising, working at home, etc... Sirius just gave me more options...
