    What I'm really waiting for is a receiver with a HD TV2 output for TVs with a ATSC/QAM tuner. I think we're still a couple of years away though...

    Sorry, this isn't going to happen. If it outputs HD on ATSC, that signal can be recorded (in HD) by a HTPC, or, for that matter, by another 622/722 or Tivo.

    With a long history of never utilized/activated features on their receivers what do you want to bet we never see USB external storage on the 622, you'll need a 722.

    I doubt it. Since the 622 and 722 is almost the same. It would be stupid on their part; now... I fully know they make bad decisions all the time, but that would be really stupid.
