We all know (kstuart no less than anyone else) that nothing's done with Dish until it's announced. We can try and rationalize all we want about why they didn't say anything but it's pure speculation (and wishful thinking). Also, as has been observed, uplinking doesn't mean carriage.
The above said, let's not go overboard the other way. Let's wait and see, at least for another few weeks. If nothing is announced by then it will be clear that we can't depend on Setanta being available on E*.

Scott, this is great news and a exciting time! Thanks Dish for giving us a better selection of HD channels! Just don't degrade the pq and were good! TLC and History channels this will be great, just hope they have some real HD content!

This should make a lot of people happy... and as far as complaints that will come...I will start them off :-)
I actually dont watch any of those channels they are adding but in all fariness the only HD channels that I would like to have but are not supposed to go live until the spring I think and that would be SciFi and USA HD......I am sure E* will add them when they are avaialable so...I will smile more then :-)
Way to go E*...

What exactly does this online thing do that we don't already have now? I read earlier at least one member was already using this online feature?

I didn't see any dates for Dish Online or Ext HD, but I'm hoping for August, but expecting September. You do know what once you start accumulating ext HD shows, that you'll be Dish's bitch forever? There will be no escape once you've built up dozens of saves favorite shows that can only be viewed with a valid activated Dish Network 622 or 722. I'm surprised that E* isn't giving this feature away for free. It will be like crack. But Charlie knows not to leave money on the table.
