Dish HD Channel Moves Coming...

Just got this in my INBOX.

All the HD programs allocated in transponders 20 and 24 in satellite 129º will be transferred from satellite 129º to 110º starting Wednesday July 22nd. Also all the programs allocated in transponder 21 in satellite 61.5 will be transferred from satellite 61.5º to 77º also starting Wednesday July 22nd.

The change of satellite 110 / transponder 19 to 8PSK (HD) format occurred Wednesday, July 15th in preparation for the addition of several high definition programming services on this satellite, scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd These services are existing channels which will be relocated from transponders 20 and 24 on the 129 satellite and include the following:


387 - CI
374 - FTV
9446 - WGN
541 - HDPPV
9457 - GREEN
544 - HDPPV
9495 - CBS C
5304 - FTV
9496 - SEDGE
9481 - TMC-E
9498 - STRZW
9500 - BIG10
9505 - ENCOR
9508 - NBATV

Don't know my 129 that well. But TP21 on 61.5 is currently in conus mode and could potentially be switched to spotbeam mode. TP21 can go on spotbeams 2, 4, 7, 11, 15, 17, 19, 20, and 22.

Yea. I wonder if they will be trading Conus for Spots or Conus for Conus??
Me hopes for second. Unless they want fire up my CW of course.

they better take care of the bandwidth problems for RSN-HD games. I am sick of missing Brewers games in HD, especially tomorrow night!!!!!!!!!

Indeed. With RSNs like FOX committing to going 100% HD over the course of the year, I really hope Dish is planning the channel capacity to keep up.

So if I'm interpreting this correctly - the channels on TP 21 of 61.5 will be the same as the ones transferring from 129 to 110?

Or else what happens to those with 61.5/110/119 setups?

i have 110, 119 on one dish and 61.5 as a second dish so will i just get those channels that are moving from 110 now?
