| | | Voom channels: audio out of sync with picture Has anyone noticed how the audio is slightly ahead of the picture on the Voom channels lately?
I have been home for 4 days and have watched a lot of movies on Monsters hd and Majestic and Guy tv too , and all have been out of sync. It is like watching dubbed films . It is very annoying and I have sent an email to dishquality@ehcostar.com .
I had the same problem with a local ABC station and the engineer fixed the problem when I called , so I know Dish should be able to fix this fairly quick. Anyone else notice this too?

Received a update from the dishquality people today. It says they have noticed no problems with the lipsync on the Voom channels and asks me if I still see the problems. Today it was very severe on shows like " Halloween 4 "and on the movie" St. Elmo's Fire", and even on the headline news channel. I watched again tonight at 8:30pm and I must admit that the problems seem to have gone away. I noticed it today on both of my 942 receivers with the Voom channels. What ever they did , it seems to be fixed for now.

| | | Still a Problem?
Wondering if others are still having a problem with Voom. I subscribe to Sky Angel, which comes off the same satellite I believe and am having identical problems with AV synchronization, etc.

Well just to update today on November 23, 2005, I have noticed NO AUDIO SYNCH problems with Rave or any of the Voom channels this last week. Dare I say that maybe Dish finally fixed this problem? They must have on their end because it didn't happen when the 942 got it's latest software update. Maybe converting to the 8spk turbo- what ever it is called , may have helped with the audio problems. What ever it is I am glad. I can now watch Rave without Cringing . | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
