942 Software Update Notes for L2.57

Sorry I am late with these... I am still sailing on the high seas.

You will notice these notes are slightly different then ones posted elsewhere.

Fixes/Changes:
• Add channel up/down/recall support to Payment/PPV popups
• Green line and video smearing fix
• Removed Nightly Updated button

New Features:
• System Info page changed to 622 look/feel
• XDS Support (Allows downloading to external devices (i.e. PocketDish) through RCA connection)
• PPV Adult Event Hiding in purchase log (if Adult Lock is on Adult PPV will show as PPV Event in log)
• Support for new LNB to allow for 4 satellite connections
• New DISH Network Logo
• Dish HOME Text Change
• Clear DVR History
• Edit DVR Event Title
• New Mosaic Infrastructure
• PPP Call Back (Enhanced call back reliability for PPV info collection)
• New Security Features
• A new H/W Tests button will show in the Diagnostics menu (To be implemented in a future release)

You mean L2.87 right? Not 2.57.

As to the "Removed Nightly Updated Button" this was removed in L286. And it is still not there in L287. And this is NOT a feature. I need this button!

Tom, wasn't the update button just greyed out in the last release? I think the whole button is gone now.

Nope, it was gone entirely in L286. There is no change as far as this "feature" goes between L286 and L287.

There seems to be another addition. On my 942 in the guide the info shows original air date and episode number
