| | Forget MLB EI, let D* take the whole nut. Use part of the $$ that would have been spent on that to give us our HD RSNs so we can see our local teams (not just baseball) in glorious high-definition.
IMO, that, along with the offerings from FOX and ESPN would satisfy most baseball fans out there....

Charlie also said that Direct was going to get a percentage of ownership of the New MLB network in 2009 and they are not offering the same deal to Dish Network for some type of percentage ownership and he wants the same exact deal as Direct.

I was bored out of my skull waiting for some good news about programming (such as a new HD channel).

Thanks Don for your recap. It looks like CC and tech chats are winding down. That's what happens when you have nothing of substance to discuss. Disappointed not to hear Cinemax HD being offered or even questioned. Hope they offer it as a surprise.
Anyway, Dish still has the best HD lineup in the business so I shouldn't complain. I can't wait for D* to get rolling on their HD 150 so it will force Dish to get off the pot with these much requested HD channels. This is exactly why we need competition in the satellite providers. Otherwise, we'd really have crap for very high prices.

Glad I didnt waste my time watching the chat last night. Re-runs of Law and Order: SVU was worth it.

Charlie is really hyping his new NASCAR connection. Even sponsoring one of the cars who's owner also owns NESN / RedSox. I would think he'd be a little embarrassed that Dish is not carrying the NESN HD feed.

Thanks for the recap dfergie! I love being able to get the details of the show in 20 seconds rather than sleeping through the entire thing. Quote:

I don't care that much about baseball, glad I am not forced to pay extra for it.
