| | | External Hard Drive Question Forgive me, but the ext drive threads have become so large & I have just a simple question... Has anyone used a laptop drive with the 622? I ask because many will power from the USB (I use one for my PS3) & there's no power cord to clutter up the counter...
Does the 622 have enough power on the USB to power one of the small external drives, or am I just best to buy one of the regular "big" ones w/ external power?
Thanks,
Rob

Even if it did, the DVR would reformat the drive and it wouldn't be a laptop any longer.

I have been looking in the external hard drive threads, but find conflicting information. I see that 1 TB is the max size of an external hard, but read many users have up to 2 TB. What is the current limit? How can i tell if a certain brand of external hard drive is compatible, do they still place a dish compaptibe logo in the specs?
