Bad Separator?
ADVERTS 1
I had a working setup but wanted to add another receiver. I have 2 dishes, one at 119 the other at 129 that were connected to a DPP33 switch. One of the receivers was a VIP612 and I used a single line to it with a separator to both inputs. Worked great! I just upgraded(?) to to DP34 to get the other port and now the separator doesn't work! Seems the separator only allows one output and it is the same one (I reversed 1 and 2) and also does not work with all transponders.
Question is - is the switch blown up or will it not work with a DP34

I don't think seperators work with DP34 only DPP44 & DPP33 (Dish Pro Plus switches).
You may have to run 2 seperate cables to the receiver.

that is correct it will not work... you will need one more line from the switch to 612 and eliminate the separator... good thing about 33 switch is you can connect 3 dual tuners.... 34 only 2.... good luck

Thanks guys; not what I wanted to hear but it is what it is. Since I have dual LNB's I guess I will need to put the DPP33 back in the mix off one output if I want to use one wire (I guess technically it would support 6 tuners?) and use the DP34 for the other receivers (all single tuner)?

or daisy chain the two switches for 7 outputs.
Sometimes I miss the old days when we had three channels on the TV, Back then I went to bed at a decent time.
