Very cool Scott! I'm tempted to NOT wait til April for the rebate. The 622 looks to make my 921 feel like a TRS-80.

Thx for the review!

Now understand I have not played with the 622 as much as Mark from DBSTalk did with his since he has had one since July, so he may report somethings that I have not reported yet because I have not seen it yet.

When his review hits I invite you to read his as well as mine and make your own decissions.

If I run into any hiccups I will report them, but again so far so good.

Thanks for the review Scott. Now I am really jacked up about my installation on the 21st. Dish called me today about signing up for HBO and I told them that I had spent money on the VIP622 and the CSR check my account and verified my install for the afternoon of the 21st. I am really excited about the how the HD OTA is working in the 622.

Good job Scott. Question: Does the 622 "squish" the output on TV2 when set to 16X9 in single user mode like the 942 does?

I think the big question is, is the 622 better than a 921.

Great review Scott.

I am waiting to hear how the timers fire and if you have any problems.

Excellent review and thanks for getting it out so fast. Can't wait to get my hands on one (scheduled 2/21).
