Wow, I didn't notice that, because I don't have the channel numbers memorized and the DishChannelChart page doesn't list that batch of mapdowns for some reason. It doesn't make any sense. I hope they're not getting rid of the mapdowns, I like them.

17 new premiums would be nice.... fill out the rest of the max's and hbo's plus some love for showtime? However, no reason to get hopes up yet... just eat your pork and sauerkraut tomorrow for luck in the new year and hope Charlie resolves to help his new programming veep get the big national deals nailed down, soon!

Free preview just for SD boxes? The overlapped channels (i.e. 362) aren't viewable by SD-only customers, so they're now putting them there?

Glad you pointed that out, seems many think that.
The TV sellers are telling people that so it is easy to see why that is the miss conception.

It would be nice if they rearranged the premium channels and actually added the rest of the Showtimes, Cinemax's, and HBO's, in SD or HD either one is fine with me. Verizon Fios has all the multiplex feeds, Dish and Directv has lacked in this area for years! 31 movie channels has always been an understatement when cable gets more like 50 or 60 with west coast feeds too. I doubt it would be the HD versions so hopefully it will at least be the SD versions.
Dish Network 622, Motorola 4dtv DSR 922, 10 footer cband, Pansat 9200, gosh, just too much to list!

That makes much more sense as an explanation.

Wouldn't it make more sense just to remap them?
Must see TV, TNBC, TGIF,,Laughabcn, Monday nights on CBS when Northern Exposure was on - who said it is just TV?

The "overlapping" HD channels are remaps from the 9000 range so the channels are not going anywhere..they just have to change the mappings

They don't even need to , you will just see two channel 362 just like you get two 122's for SCIFI. Its still an odd choice for channel numbers, maybe the current method isn't working as well as the old preview channels were.

So where all the info on this uplink? Seem every week there's an uplink and unless it says "Available" No One has a clue what it means. So that should be the Satellite Guys New years resolution. Every Uplink comes with a detail description on what we are looking at.
