What are they doing? Are these going to stay here? Less than a year ago they took my 61.5 said I:d never need it again, put in 77. Middle last week they took locals off 77 and came to adjust to 61.5 . So I thought I might try the Israel channel on 61.5 which I knew had the foreign channels, my mistake they changed them to 118.

I think these are going to be channels advertising the foreign channels they have available at 118.7. Many DISH customers have no idea all of these foreign channels are available to them!

If you want the channels they are advertising then yes you would need a 1000.4 dish.

Can you explain them saying not needing 61.5? That may be the first time I ever heard that. Even when your locals were on 77, you needed 61.5 and 72 to get all the channels. (Unless you didn't mention you also have the Western Arc)

IN some areas they were installing WA dishes for HD (instead of mixed arc). Then Dish adds HD locals on 77W so techs installed a 2nd dish (at the time they were told that....now they do a EA dish)
A couple weeks ago they moved the 77W locals to 61.5 so now folks need a new upgrade (or swing the dish to 61.5)

I think what the poster meant was if you move to WA you normally wouldnt need 61.5
Winegard 76cm dish, SG2100 motor, Sadoun dual KU LNB..... Directv Slimline SWM 3 LNB.... GeoSatPro 36" dish with Sadoun dual KU LNB... Coolsat 5000 on motorized.... Manhattan RS1933....Directv HR34 (yes the 5 tuner monster) GeoSatPro 200 to aim dishes.... few receivers not set up yet
Two 6 foot Fortec dish with GeoSatPro dual C-Band LNB "ghetto moved" to various C-Band satellites

I think my thought was close to what you are saying. His HD locals maybe were only on the EA, he already had the WA perhaps prior to HD. Never made switch to EA.

I just realized a few days ago that my local channels have been on four different satellite locations now. First 105, then 129 then 77 then 61.5. At least each time they did the move it was a better location (other than 129 but it was easier to deal with than a dang SuperDish).
