I received this awhile ago. Looks like no more installs of the 721 and the 942.

Not sure how reliable the source is, but the owner of the RSP I work with is telling a few FSMs that it will apply to all non-ViP receivers. If that's true, there's going to be a ton of angry Dish customers (or happy, since they'll probably be getting 612s and 722s)

Guess I'll know pretty soon, my brother's got a 522.

The second PDF clarifies that the other receivers have the re-designed software and are not affected. Only the 721, 921,942 and HZ 1022 are affected. The impact will be minimal.

Also as I read it, it won't effect any receiver that is currently in use . So my 721 is safe (I hope).

Hopefully, Claude doesn't have too many injunctioned DVRs in-stock...

I hope nothing happens with my 625 I just bought and activated for my locals.

I just got up and running Wednesday. I'm out almost $250 after new cables. I'd be VERY upset if the DVR functions on my 625 got shut off!
