This is futile, they both SUCK.
ADVERTS 1
I've had both, and they both SUCK.
Arguing over which one is better is a waste of time.
If anything, we should be arguing over which one sucks the least.

Yeah let's argue over what we should be arguing about.

Well, ummm, okay, can't speak for E* but I kinda like my D*, a lot! I get my Phillies, every night and I live 500 miles away. Same with my Sixers and Eagles. I get great picture quality and really don't know of any channels that I want that I don't have. In my area, the same can not be said for any of the cable Co's, E* or anyone else for that matter. I don't think this sucks at all.

While both have their problems, they both are a far better alternative to my local TWC franchise.

Well my DirecTV doesn't suck.
Tons and tons of sports in spectacular high definintion, and the out of market sports packages keep getting better and better. Monday night for the first time ever a Canadian HD RSN telecast was carried (Rogers Sportsnet's feed of the Blue Jays), and last night for the first time ever an HD CSN Philly feed was carried (the Phillies). Certainly bodes well for the NHL Center Ice package next year.
We haven't had any rain fade whatsoever in years, unlike the ads the cable companies run.
We get new channels all the time, both HD and SD.
A new satellite is already up and will be functional this summer, and another is scheduled to go up this year too. Brings the promise of lots more channels and services.
Is it perfect? Of course not. Then again, what's perfect for me may not be perfect for the next person, so it's all relative.
But it definitely doesn't suck!
