D* HD has been deactivated.
ADVERTS 1
Well its done E* is now my Primary Provider. I called D* and Dropped my HD ,and went down to the Family pack. I deactivated my HR20 and H20. I'm left with my D10 and R16 for now. Me and the wife decided E* is a better overall provider for what we are into. With E* added HD networks ,it made my switch real easy. With Superstation and All American Direct Option ,along with Much more premiums and Enough HD to suit me for a reasonal Price. Its been a rocky last couple of months but, D* never once wanted to give me any Free HD DVR, so thats that! E* gave me Free DVR With DVR atvantage, The bonus of adding Premiums for only $10,including HBO. How can I pass this up. I'll miss the YES network a little ,but not enough to stay. E* DVR's are fast and reliable. I can add a receiver for less money with the option of no commitment,"Unlike D*". I think I made a wise choice. I'm open for your thoughts, and comments. Good luck to you D* guys , I'm sure your happy with Your choice. And I hope you get everything you wanted. See Ya!

$120 But if I stay I can finish out my Nascar Hot Pass. $40 is whats remaining on my Hot Pass payments. Thats one of the reasons ,I'm hanging out for a tad longer.

Those sports packages and channels are the deciding factor for me as well. If Dish had EI and they offered my local RSN's with their HD package, I would probably be with Dish. With my current setup and EI, Direct is pretty much the only option for me.

I am sure it will work out fine for you Hemi!
Glad you can get what you want with E*

Well I finally did it too!
I went to Ford after Chevy wouldn't give me a new Silverado for free.
Whatever, basing a decision on price and options is what it should be, adding into the equation/decision that they refused to GIVE you something for nothing makes it pathetic. Its been a rocky last couple of months but, D* never once wanted to give me any Free HD DVR, so thats that! E* gave me Free DVR With DVR atvantage,
At least your happy.

Sorry but I don't see it as pathetic. It all factors into the pricing and options that each provider gives. I would most likely still be a Dish customer today if it wasn't for them not allowing me to lease a second 622. Does that make me pathetic for choosing Directv since I was able to get the equipment I wanted from them at a much reduced cost?

How?
All else being pretty much equal, I would chose based on who gave me the better deal also. Free equipment is something that both companies use to get new subs. Nothing wrong with it from the companies perspective, and nothing really "pathetic" about it from a customers point of view, well at least this customer anyway.

Thanks. D* just so happend to not be the one for me in the end. They were great while I had them. But its done now. I have 2 owned receivers, so if I ever want a sports pack that E* doesn't have , I'll still have the option. But Nascar is with D* for 1 more year as I believe NFL is got maybe 2. Then It will be interesting to see what happends. But either way I doubt I would buy any of the sports packs anyway.
