Question TWC Weather on the 8's, better on D* or E*?

    ADVERTS 1
Today DirecTV started to offer The Weather Channels "Weather on the 8's" feature on their SD and HD DVR Plus boxes when tuned to the SD version of the TWC. At post http://www.satelliteguys.us/1529674-post81.html there's a number of screen captures of this new feature.

Dish has had something like this for a few months now, how does the Dish implementation compare to the DirecTV version?

Each of those screen shots is rotated during the entire time, on average each shot displays about 5 - 10 seconds before it moves on to the next one.

you also don't have to "press" anything to activate the slide show ... it starts up automatically when tuned to the channel - i assume the Dish's setup has changed since i was with them a few months ago though - so i can't compare the two unfortunately.

From the pictures that I saw, DirecTv beats Dish Network hands down on the weather on the 8's. Maybe DirecTv waited longer to bring it out so that they could have better weather on the 8's.
