Has DirecTV ever deleted channels that did not go under on their own? I know they get rid of packages such as Hot Pass, but they always give their subs plenty of warning in advance.

Even with Hot Pass, its not so much going away as it is being replaced. I am not sure on the first part of your question, I will see what I can find

Looks like d* is deleting channels from the spanish pack!!

They are not deleting the channels, they are only changing what is being offered in a particular package.

It appeared many of the removed LIL channels were put back on by E* one by one soon after, if that was any indication that the stations caved in, then maybe it is a good lesson for D* to follow

It seems E* likes dropping channels.
They haven't dropped anything yet I care about though.
