    Fox news mess

    ADVERTS 1
I swear, this mess with Fox News is CRAZY!!!! Just wanted to give people a thread to discuss without anyone being accused of trolling, ect (not that many have)

Seriously, how hard is it to just add a channel? It is on for some, off for others, with no real ryhme or reason as to why. Coupled with the confusing channel packages, plus the know nothing CSRs and it is a wonder that they are not shedding more subs than they are.

I was glad that they finally added these channels, but after this, I wonder if they should have waited until they could do it right first.

    What do you guys think?

I am assuming this is about Dish, not Direct?

True, however, I can not help but be shocked when something like this goes on. It can not be that hard to turn a channel on. IF a company is not ready, wait until you are. Seems simple.....Does it not? I swear, I am glad they are not my primary sub service when things like this happen! I was/am looking hard at those turbo packages, but.....

When D* was about to unleashed their batch of new HD channels in the fall of 2007, you all probably remember that it was delayed a week because they had issues with billing and who could get what channels. So they took the smart approach and delayed it a week so that they could get the issues smoothed out instead of having a big mess. Yeah, we all were upset that we had to wait another week for something we had been waiting a long time for, but I think most would agree that the D* approach is better than the problems and confusion E*'s customers are having now.

Dish has a history of releasing hardware, software and software upgrades before they're properly tested. After they've gotten enough subs riled up, they scramble around and eventually get it fixed or replaced. Dish is arguably their own worst enemy sometimes.

yet from my experience with both providers i find that D has more issues with their software than E does.

The problem I see is E* customers want E* to take a Channel thats in the Top 200 Silver ,and Turbo Silver pack and Put it in the Turbo Bronze pack. Why would E* do this? Fox News last I recall was never in the Top 100 pack to begin with. So what am I missing?
