Egad... E* just leapfrogged D* in channel count

    ADVERTS 1
D* is being sloppy. They will need to actually add Travel Channel HD plus a few others soon. E*, Verizon and AT&T are all the HD leader(s) much more so than D*, unless you want to play games w/ RSN's. They can't play the PPV/VOD game. Comcast has that locked down!

I currently have 109 HD channels in my FiOS TV lineup. Not one of them is a PPV, there is no overcompression, no funny bussiness, no shenanigans, no monkey shines, and more on the way.

Not in channels that people actually watch.

Where's MLB Network, the best HD channel out there.

Have they made them available to the Turbo subs yet?

In any case, I consider the RSNs channels, but even then the count is pretty even.

Congrats to the E* subs that can watch the new HD

If you take out the RSNs and HD PPVs, E* leads D* 78 to 70 in national HD channels, in other words channels people do care about.

I understand that some don't want to discount RSNs and others do. I think there is merit to both sides of that argument.

Check this spread sheet in this post for the numbers

    http://www.satelliteguys.us/1777679-post423.html

    Here's the channels that E* has that D* doesn't

    BET Jazz
    Hallmark Movies
    Lifetime
    Lifetime Movies
    Travel Channel
    WGN
    Action Max
    Cinemax 5 Star
    Encore
    HBO Comedy
    HBO Latino
    HBO 2 East
    HBO Signature
    HBO Family
    HBO Zone
    WFN

    Here's the channels that D* has that E* doesn't

    Fuel
    FX
    MLB
    The 101
    Smithsonian
    Showtime West HD
    Showtime Extreme
    Speed

The rest of the differences are in RSNs. Refer to the spread sheet in the link above to see those differences.

No doubt Fios has that edge, but most people do not have that option, also their HD hardware is not known to be the best and can be expensive if you want more than two.

I personally did not care for all the rants after 4/1 because it was just a matter of how soon the new HDs would be on. Charlie did seem lately trying to have some fun with us when adding new HDs.

Take out Premiums and they lead by only 3 and then you are truly left with the channels that people actually care about (The ones I bolded. Although one can argue that few care about BET Jazz, WFN, Fuel, and Speed).

I would say: "...the channels that I actually care about...," rather speak for the people

As examples, I would not say people do not care for the HD premium movies, nor say people do not care for HD "premium" NFL ST

I know I love my HD premium channels! I originally subscribed to Dish Network for HBO so it is important to me.
THERE= a place. not here - THEIR= belongs to them - THEY'RE = short for "They Are". THEN = a point in time; not now. - THAN = used to compare things.
-If you tried 4 times to move forward, it was the FOURTH time you went FORTH! ---Something AFFECTS you. You have an EFFECT on something
Some one can win a MEDAL made of a METAL like gold for showing his METTLE (courage)
If something is LOOSE you might LOSE it. Your=belongs to "you" You're short for "you are"
You file a suit in court. You wear a suit in court. You stay in a suite at the hotel. You sweat it out. Victory is sweet!
If two sets of twin brothers have a gunfight, you have a Dual Duel
MUTE=Silent, unable to talk. MOOT= No loger relevant or important. "A mute points out a moot point."
